Martinie - Myrtle

Mrs. Myrtle Martinie, highly respected resident of this city, died at her home 1318 east Main street Friday night after an extended illness. Death occurred at nine o'clock. Mrs. Martinie was born June 5, 1865 in Clairmont county, Ohio, the daughter of John and Rebecca Slater, She was united in marriage to Warren Martinie November 25, 1885, The deceased was a member of the Methodist church for many years and leaves a large circle of friends to mourn her death. Those surviving are her husband, two sons, Truman of Joplin, Mo., and Ralph of Indianapolis; two daughters, Mrs. William Klinker of Springfield, Ohio and Mrs. William Nelson of Champaign, Ill; one brother and several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the home Monday afternoon at two o'clock with Rev. Miller of the Trinity Methodist church in charge. Burial will be made in Oak Hill cemetery.
